Expertise: About Timothy: Being passionate about the arts and the media, Timothy never ceases to dream big. Since the beginning of his venture into the industry, Timothy’s vision is to use media and arts as a platform to engage lives and change perspectives of the living. Timothy’s wide interests are evident in the different projects he took part in. For theatre, he is actively involved in various drama productions, and has taken on roles from directing to acting and script writing. UNCUT

Project Brief

 

Telecast Period:                      1 April to 30 September 2006

No. of Interstitials:                   1 x per month (total of 6 interstitials per school)

Duration of Interstitial:             90 secs to 2 min

Frequency:                              10 spots per week

Delivery:                                  2 weeks before telecast

Format:                                   Beta SP or Digital Beta

 

Objectives

Based on the following topics, each school will produce 6 interesting and creative interstitials that feature youths’ perspectives of current trends, events or issues.

 

Topics

  1. April – Music
  2. May – Unique hobbies and interests
  3. June – World Cup/Soccer Mania
  4. July – Arts eg. Film, dance, painting etc.
  5. August – National Traits eg. Food 
  6. September – Festivals

 

Requirements

  1. Opening

-          Every interstitial should include a different creative opening of not more than 5 secs. This opening should ideally incorporate the name and branding of ‘Uncut’.

 

  1. End Tag

-          Unique to every school, this design template will acknowledge the collaboration between each school and MediaCorpTV U. The station logo will be provided to each school for inclusion in theire graphics.

-          This end tag should be used at the end of every interstitial each school produces and also be accounted for in the total duration of the interstitial.

 

  1. Acknowledgement/credit

-          Names of producers, directors, camera, music etc. should be indicated in small, legible white text at the bottom left of the screen 3 secs prior to end of interstitial. (Please reference music videos)

-          The same names will be submitted for Uncut Awards at the end of the season.

 

  1. Voiceovers

-          Voiceovers if any, should be in mandarin only.

 

Allowance

Each interstitial will be given a production allowance of up to SGD $150 nett for props and other expenses incurred during the filming of these interstitials.

 

Awards

6 interstitials from each school will be entered for nomination at the Uncut Awards which will be held at the end of the season. Viewers and a panel of judges will decide on the best interstitials and winners will stand to win attractive prizes including a 6-month industrial attachment to MediaCorp.
